Goal

Environmental management covers various aspects of development which is basically influenced by the interaction between human and natural resources and environment that leads to the utilization of limited natural resources to meet various needs. In the utilization of limited natural resources, the harmony and balance to the quality of human (society) and its environment must be maintained.

Thus sustainable development activities will succeed if the role of the community running optimally. Although pragmatic, public participation is not something easily done, but its role in the development process has been recognized as an effective approach for:

• Rationally pragmatic, is a means to get a view of local conditions and needs;

• Logically, the public will have or will be loyal to the building if it involved; and

• Philosophically, a basic form of democratic rights is the right of people to determine their own development (development for people).

Community organization is one of the strategic approach to generate, mobilize, and manage community participation. Within this framework BINTARI established, so too BINTARI strongly supports the formation of an organized society that streamline participation in the process of development and environmental management.

n its programs, BINTARI are always trying to describe the idea (the concepts, methods, techniques) environmental protection and sustainable development through various activities such as: social control, community assistance, research, consultancy and information services, training, and other significant activities.
