artikel_bintari4Climate change becomes a central issue and a very crucial moment. A few information about climate change and efforts to confront and reduce the impact make the society and also government look at one eye on this issue. One effort to accelerate the dissemination of information related to climate change, the book became a media that was developed in the learning process for all parties especially the people were very minimal information.

Cooperation program and the ERCA Japan Foundation BINTARI ie Adaptation and Mitigation Program of Climate Change through Sustainable Community-based agroforestry in Ungaran develop the book as a medium of learning and information on climate change.

This book consists of six chapters that contain the process invites the public in the process of identifying the potential and problems of their region and then make an effort of adaptation and mitigation of climate change in accordance with their capabilities and potential that people possess.

Not only showing how climate change is an impact on people's lives, this book provides a choice-a choice that can be related to efforts made by the community related to how to deal with climate change impacts (adaptation) that have occurred in the mountainous region as well as how to reduce activities that contribute climate change (mitigation).

Adaptation and mitigation of climate change efforts in the area Indrokilo selected agroforestry development efforts that combine activities in the agricultural sector, livestock, and forestry so as to create a synergy in all three sectors.

Agroforestry development process starting from the process of identifying potential and existing problems. Agroforestry defined as community-based measures based on mutual agreement. How then agroforestry as a society to make their selection process begins with an assessment environment.

Society became major capital in the development of agroforestry farms in Indrokilo thus increasing capacity and strengthening the organization carried out at the beginning of this process. Strong organization with sufficient capacity development efforts to ensure the sustainability of agroforestry-based society.

Organizations are then dug the risk of disaster due to climate change impacts in their area. Output analysis, which will serve as the community to formulate strategies and action plans on climate change adaptation and mitigation-based society. There are four action plans development of agroforestry farms in Indrokilo ie water management, forestry management, agricultural management, and livestock management.

Implementation of agroforestry are important and the main but also monitoring and evaluation process becomes an integral part in the development of agroforestry farms in Indrokilo. Development and evaluation mechanisms montoring conducted by community organizations. The whole development of the existing mechanisms and rules are based on the approach to community participation so as to represent all interests of society and ensure the sustainability of this program.
